This site is affiliated with my assetliving.news/ which exists in protest against Asset Living Property Management who knew it was unnecessary to abide by the state law, C.R.S. 38-12-903(4) which I quote on the website that I linked to at the beginning of this paragraph. (I understand that any evidence I attempt to provide to reinforce my accusation will be met with nothing but disdain since I don't seem to understand that I should just feel lucky that everyone I interact with who are being paid to do a job is kind enough to allow me to continue living ... uh, here (or whatever).

I also would like to quickly relay an anology to describe my situation with the purpose to dispel bias. If someone won a motorhome RV in a contest, raffle, or what-have-you, and there were, for all intents & purposes, permanent indications of the fact that the owner won the vehicle that are included in its structure, in the form of branding or other means. The indications can't be removed completely but are unnoticeable to a casual observer and only can be seen by mechanics doing work on it. It's assumed, of course, that the mechanics, being paid professionals, aren't going to give it a second thought as to how the vehicle came into the owner's legal possession ... their job is to do repair or maintenance and in their business paradigm, they can't afford to waste time investigating an owner in an attempt to prove that the owner shouldn't have received the vehicle. If the repair shop decided to refuse to release the RV back to the owner when the bill was settled (the owner paid the repair bill in full), and instead park the vehicle in their fenced in lot in an attempt to get the owner to "fess-up" & "admit" that they didn't deserve to win the vehicle & so it really isn't rightfully theirs, then the owner would have reason to go to police. It's theft, afterall. Whether the owner won the vehicle, inherited it, bought it, or is still buying it, isn't anybody's business as long as the owner has it legally registered, etc. The fact that the repair shop can't actually use the RV themselves, but just want to prevent the owner from enjoying it, is beside the point but yet there exists plausible deniability (hubris patronizing) since there could be feigned innocence because realistically the repair shop wouldn't be in the position to gain anything of value. There is still room for the repair shop to escalate into blatant theft by (staying true to this anology) dismantling the RV and selling off the parts.

With that context of a person owning a RV that is effectively stolen from them since they won it in a contest and the repair shop owner, the police, and people on Truth Social, all figure that the theft is justified since if the owner actually deserved the motorhome then nobody would be attempting to steal it. To make the anology more in line with my circumstances I'd have to alter the original source of the RV to being gov't (taxpayer) funded (and the taxpayers include deceased friends of mine) and instead of winning it in a contest it was awarded as part of a benefit package. Now the intricacies of that benefit package, how it came about & how I acquired it, is really nobody's business although I don't really keep it a secret. In this (ongoing) situation of being a recipient of gov't assisted housing and continuously being harassed by just about anyone who is being paid to do a job, instead of them just doing their work with maturity and professionalism, I realized that to advocate for myself I end up compromising my privacy. I knew that from the beginning (see: missionrock.net) but I always figured that eventually I'd be validated in a way to where I felt it was satisfactorily resolved (enough) to where I could remove sensitive information about myself from the world wide web. I also assumed that I wouldn't continue to be harassed since I never was insisting that I was owed money from the property managers or owners, or anyone else for that matter, & I was (obviously) only wanting to dispel bias and create awareness as to what people who worked for multi-million dollar corportations (which are based out of state) would end up doing in their lack of competance and ethics. I have to keep in mind that the majority of people are from a different state and so they can't help but to defend other people from out of state (& in summer of 1925 the Denver mayor invited the NAACP to the city to hold their convention ... One of my social media connections works for the NAACP, so there's that too).

At this time I've also received another benefit in the form of a guaranteed spot in a national cemetary by Veterans Affairs. So in other words my federal government considers me to be repectful & honorable enough to be buried along side war heros. Now I have local police trying to work out what their take would be on the $200 that a corporation stole from me... well, nothing is their cut so I should be able to understand why it'd be too much of an inconvenience for them to actually entertain the idea that the money was stolen from me and not somehow owed to that woman sitting in her house in Texas (or wherever) who I spoke with on the telephone. I'm not supposed to perceive it as "wire fraud" since in the course of her hard work dealing with low class people like me she's bound to make an error but it's really up to me on how to go about properly appealing to the people working for these property management corportations since they're the bourgeoisie culture and very sensitive to confrontations regarding their moral ineptitude. There only seems to be me having any problem and so I just must need to be taught that I don't understand that I'm a privleged ingrate ... I started working before I was out of high school & worked in construction & other work that was strenuous & dangerous that most people would refuse to do. I went to work into construction plumbing with a reconstructed ankle (my military discharge document has notation that I'm physically disabled) because there wasn't anything else readily available for me to do that paid reasonably. I shared houses, apartments, and lived with family, and even lived in residential facilities for disadvantaged people. I've helped people with money and labor, etc. and my family loves me. The idea of the property managers is to humiliate me & degrade me & force me to give up my housing assistance (somehow) and if anyone says that's not true & I'm only being paranoid then what exactly is their endgame?

I also understand the cultural posit that I shouldn't be complaining to anyone since there are anti-discrimination laws to protect people that are meant to be protected with anti-discrimination laws. The U.S. Constitution Fourteenth Amendment guarantees equal protection of law and so if I feel like anyone is committing some crime against me then I shouldn't pay it no mind since if all of that related to me in my circumstances then someone would have put a stop to it (or something). I'm a disabled person under U.S. federal law since I receive disability benefits (and I can print off a document from ssa.gov that states I'm a disabled person) and the property managers who I have problems with know that and disabled people are, in fact, discriminated against and are a protected class in our country and so that includes me ... now, I understand that I don't appear disabled and I don't expect people to know I am ... it's usually not an issue for me ... but my doing well physically shouldn't be held against me as some sort of proof that I'm just weak or whatever. I've had people with masters degrees & doctorates talk to me extensively about things that can happen to people in my demographic by abusive people. It just so happens that there seems to be consensus, regarding people in the demographic of what the Social Security Administration refers to as "mentally impaired", that we must deserve to be treated like dirt, lied to, stolen from, mocked, patronized, etc., since we're bound to break down and cry or somethiong really funny like that and people can get a video recording and upload it to YouTube & be paid for their (lack of honest) effort.

I also would like to clarify here that I know that because I have a beard that people "can't help but assume" that I don't understand that I look like a homeless P.O.S. to them and that should concern me since there's a problem with vigilantes attacking homeless people ... and if somebody ends up on the streets then it's their own fault since it doesn't happen to everybody (or whatever). Rest assured that I was taught as a young man that I was inevitably going to "look like" somebody that's bad in some way. If I was all clean shaven or had my beard all perfectly trimmed then I'd look like a serial killer or that police sketch of the current bike path rapist (or whoever). I've had plenty of people hate me for looking like an average man. (I have the details of the transaction with Asset Living Property Management where they're refusing to refund my two bills below this line but commented out so it can only be seen in the HTML source of the page.)

Rental application fee - limitations.
A landlord who receives a rental application fee from a prospective tenant and does not use the entire amount of the fee to cover the landlord's costs in processing the rental application shall remit to the prospective tenant the remaining amount of the fee. The landlord shall make a good-faith effort to remit such amount within twenty calendar days after processing the application.

This is from a prior manager but is still relevant since the attitude was that I had no rights whatsoever.

Note that she signed it, essentially agreeing that she was violating lease by (continuing) to threaten arbitrary fines, and the form was accepted/approved by the state. I'm a disabled person under federal law and none of this should faze me since everybody just doin' the best job they can & at the end of the dat it's time to go home ... but ironically she lived in the building... top floor even (but facing courtyard). Anyway, the plain text of the reasons for release from lease agreement to satisfy state agency's requirements: Landlord won't remove sign on trash chute room threatening "$100 fines" for bags left in room if chute is full.

As per lease a resident can be charged for clean up costs, but amount would obviously need to be proportionate.

Landlord is violating lease when the $100 fine has probably never been levied so it's an antagonistic threat.

This is relatable here because it was this young man, Elijah Gurule, who was the inspiration for me to move to my current residence. He was an assistant property manager for Syringa which was the company managing my old apartment complex. A month before I moved he had quit his job and he moved out of his apartment, though. That surprised me. The photograph he is using as a cover for his Meta profile was taken in the apartment he had and the cabinet hardware is the same kind that's in mine. He moved from the apartment over a year ago, and has some past posts public, but there's been no activity since. I will make a negotiation offer here that if this man is located and found to be doing well, by reasonable standards, meaning he's not worse off now than a couple years ago, then I will just forget the crime(s) committed against me and I will come to terms with the fact that, for whatever reason, the laws don't apply for me as far as any being meant to protect me from anyone for anything.

This is excerpt of two-page "valentine's day newsletter" that my old landlady at Syringa Properties issued to every resident, posted on all the doors (I presume), where she mentions "Elijah" and this was about a week after I had her approve my 30-day notice. I visited Colo DORA office & mentioned to David in real estate div, that there was high turn over rate in the industry (which seems unusual given that it's not retail, food service, or labor business). I could argue that by circumstantial evidence there's an underlying issue with the entire field, industry but given there's both owners and management companies (and I admit I'm no expert) but there's inevitable (is my contention) conflict of interest in that there's motivation for positive cash flow, bureaucracy to diminish that with the human condition of procrastination, bias, inefficiency and expediency to compensate (scapegoating, in other words) within the corporations. It'd stand to reason that all would affect their consumers. Some of their consumers are elderly, disabled, disadvantaged, etc. and receive gov't housing assistance. There's certain negative stereotypes associated with people receiving housing assistance and also associated with outright fraud ... I'm merely going to point out here that the housing assistance program(s) exist and how people get on the assistance is a part of Human/Social Services of gov't (the way I'll express it here) and so like many other aspects of gov't that's involved in people's personal lives (like taxes and tax credits, etc.) there's the people's personal privacy to be considered.

We had a staff change, Elijah is no longer with Vina, so please be patient with me on getting back to you in a timely fashion, I do have a temp assisting me, but I am still basically running solo until a new hire is hired.
The office will be closed, Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 for Presidents Day. I will see you all on Tuesday, Feb. 20t. 9:00 a.m. sharp.
On a personal note, I do want to thank all of you for welcoming me to Vina, hard to believe I've been here over 8 months already. I’ve made some great friendships here and do appreciate the casual "good mornings" or "HI’s" as you pass by. It’s nice to see you all occasionally. We all live here, and we all need to watch out for each other and keep our families safe and it takes all of us to do this. With that said, stop blocking the back doors open!!!

I received the above letter from a person at HUD informing me that since I publicized what I found out about Miki (Alex) Manigault they would no longer accept any complaints of discrimination from me. I'm not supposed to make waves & all that. I was threatened to be investigated by federal authorities but I never heard anything more.

Subject: Housing Discrimination Complaint Inquiry — Termination of Contact
HUD Inquiry Number: 761239

Dear Scott H

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUUD) administratively enforces the Fair Housing Act (the Act), 42 U.S.C. §3601, et seq., as amended. The Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing- related transactions, because of race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status, national origin, and disability. On February 5, 2024, our office received the above referenced inquiry you submitted online alleging housing discrimination.

It has come to my immediate attention that you may have engaged in cyberstalking activities related to a member of our staff. While the matter has been referred to Federal Protective Service for investigation, the safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to HUD and our office will take every reasonable precaution in these situations. Your inquiry has been closed and our office is terminating contact with you as of the date of this letter. This decision is final, and HUD will no longer respond to your correspondence or telephone calls about this matter.

You may consult with a private attorney to ascertain any other right of action you may have under federal, state or local laws. Notwithstanding this termination of contact, you have the right to pursue a civil action in an appropriate U.S. district court or state court no later than two (2) years after the occurrence or the termination of an alleged discriminatory housing practice.

Sincerely,

James Whiteside
Region VIII Director
Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity

Business cards of two visitors to my apartment in Denver (where Elijah Gurule worked) but I "reached out" to a local councilwoman, although not for my district she was sponsoring bills for local ordinance to establish inspections, which is common, but often only perfunctory and then tend to sympathize with (defend) managers so it becomes yet another avenue of degradation for some tenants.

There's the legal principle, often referred to as Blackstone's ratio, which emphasizes the importance of avoiding wrongful convictions and prioritizing the protection of the innocent within the justice system. Of course if the concept was mentioned in contemporary social media it would be met with contempt, or (deliberate) Fundamental attribution error where it'd be associated with bleeding-heart liberals and from there it'd be posited that (of course) it's just meant to defend cho-mo's. None of it is really nothing new, when considering events from history, now we experience it in real time (is how I think of it) where the trend in society, popular consensus, is to generalize, exaggerate, & scapegoat, but there clearest example is the practice of charging minors as adults for alleged violent acts. I use word acts, & not crimes (although I know of an arson case where I think it was a criminal act of retribution for stolen property), there is still the neurological science which explains that a person's frontal-cortex isn't fully developed until they're ~ 25 yrs old & but there's compromise made for purpose of allowing for individual pursuits & facilitate opportunity (or however that could be expressed) so a person is an adult at eighteen which was the decided on deliminator. For reference here, one of the reasons I brought this up is on account of Elianne Andam, a Black adolescent in England who was charged as an adult, since I'd just found out about that & it surprised me since I figured they wouldn't do that too, given their stance on capital punishment. In my experience online though, there's a culture of racism that exists in England (I'm not going to include whole of U.K.), but exists in Canada, as well as European countries, (etc.) but they seem in denial that they are (on average). I mention that because I see comments from people in other countries (mostly Canada) where they lean toward racist ideology (is the way I'll put it) but it's lack of understanding of socioeconomic disparity and the association of minority races being disproportionately representated in impoverished stratum (& all that entails).

There's another example I need to bring up here, and although isn't relatable, it's significant to me because it reflects lack of awareness of sociology in its relation with law enforcement. First off, the incident where the (self-described) "journalist" decided to video record a couple Denver city police officers when they were in process of transfering a man experiencing a psychotic episode to custodial hold by medical personnel (C.R.S. 27-65-106 related) and my position is that in the circumstances the police were more in position of agents of the medical authority (which average people know exists but are not familiar with intricacies, & in their obstinence, & hubris they are convinced they don't need to "know" anything other than preconcieved notions since, in all truth, just like in the case I link to there's the embarrassment of the human condition in relation to trauma & dehumination that the man in custody had (most definitely) experienced in his past ... & maybe before arriving to this country. My point is the police involved were actually doing well and were trying to protect the man and the woman journalist was infringing on the man's right to privacy under federal law (HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

About Webpage & Author

Incidently, the author of this page was once instructed to not return to a Bible study group held by members of a local North metro area, working class populated church (in Northglenn, no less), for not agreeing with them that the Westboro Baptist Church was doing a good thing when they protested Matthew Shepard's funeral. (I told them that rest assured, the church would reveal their true colors in the future and they're now known to be a right-wing fringe organization.)

Also, this nextdoor.com post about a lost elderly man with tardive dyskinesia included a front door "Ring" video and it was one of the reasons I had to give up my account with that social media platform because I have no defense against misinformed pride in (perceived) social class. (The lack of humility, or lack of basic human compassion or conscientiousness, is what I mean in that use of the word, pride. Maybe arrogance or obstinance would be better descriptions.) People will begin to stigmatize & stereotype. It is vigilantism. It's Theory of Forms arguments where complacency & ignorance are mutually inclusive (aren't mutually exclusive, or whatever) but it's just people's "schadenfreude", is all. Something to do other than actually learning something. By my Quaker-ish background, however, a particular use of some word like "pride" isn't owned by anyone. What is pragmatic is clarifying a standard of accessibility for people in general on local gov't news-feeds on social media. A city's presence on a social media platform is not something that should need restricted access set with parental control software.

My take on the rudimentary philosophy of Theory of Forms simply put is that it's the idea that there exists a perfect form of everything and in our reality we only get an imperfect, yet immutable, imitation of that form. The point being is that the argument gets to be about the superiority of those who accept the imperfect form as it is, or who's fault it is that it's imperfect, etc. It's a way to feign superiority & scapegoat or browbeat others. The people who are (most often) considered as inferior are actually people who've suffered violent trauma, and experienced being tormented, belittled, bullied, etc. because of their subsequent lack of confidence or other eccentricity they may assume (affectation) in order to compensate for social awkwardness or otherwise cope. Discussing anything more than generalities, often relying on using platitudes, e.g., "This is a land of opportunity.", "There's someone for everybody.", etc., is met with derision. The person wanting to discuss details, or delve into social science (sociology), of a political issue is the one thereby assigned to fix it since they seem to know so much. The compassionate & resistant person is informed that they need to conform. Ignorant people will be all about how others should feel, etc. The culture of people videoing other unsuspecting people after deliberately scaring them is a symptom of that social degradation.

The other example of a person gaining sympathy from the (ignorant) general public when it isn't deserved is the Facebook group(?) titled "Mama Jennifer and friends". The woman originally launched the group in her son's name because of some support given for her son being a victim of bullying at school. He fought back, or something, and the story went viral. It was originally "Colin and friends" but she was making it more & more about her, enjoying the notoriety. She doesn't really even try to take care of herself, though. She'll drink huge cups of lattes and the like. She'll start teaching jobs and get fired soon after. Her children are labeled "mentally ill" and it must be "society's fault", or God's fault, or maybe it's "the man". (Who knows?)

There was another incident that is significant in regards to my assertion that ignorant people will rely on platitudes and projection (or transference, but that word is used differently now) but that is what I meant by people being "all about how others should feel...". There was two indigenous young men that went to a college tour and the police were called on them. The way that they were dressed was pretty clear indication that they were young and student-ish. Native men don't have the same confidence that other young men would have in a similar situation. They were/are an oppressed people, everybody knows that much, but their history should never reflect in their demeanor? "Shy" could be another descriptive word, albeit it's belittling. The point is that there is too much of people discussing why other people are the way that they are and not enough straight out and asking, or other attempts at communicating directly with the person or people that's being discussed.

Another point that I could make about discussing details, or delve into social science (sociology), of a political issue, is regarding immigrants. It's presumed that the people weren't forced out of their own country or faced levels of danger to where earning a living wouldn't be possible without giving in to committing violence themselves against a much more powerful entity. From what I've personally seen, the vast majority of South American immigrants are relatively short people. It's cruel to get involved in discussing the issue without taking that information into consideration. The conservatives are split into two main factions in our country. Those that associate their faith (religion) with their political perspective, and those who remain quite secular in that they support capital punishment, charging minors as adults for alleged crimes, and torturing war prisoners. The latter group posits that it's up to them to pick up the slack by making "the tough decisions" and they "understand" that their religious cohorts just don't have the moxy. The former group are exploited in a sense because they want to maintain their values and moral compass. That dynamic should be obvious to any leberal democrat but of course, by matter of form, the different factions are combined into one for the purpose of political rhetoric.

This article is relevant for me where it explains a component of my disability. It's often assumed that people who have difficulty communicating verbally, or have trouble being articulate, have low intellegence but that isn't necessarily true. I actually am able to communicate and get my point across just fine but some people that I happen to be speaking to don't want me to get my point across. It's frustrating because I know that some people's goal is to get me upset and frustrated since that provides them justification for rebuffing me. "Trauma Blocks the Frontal Lobes Verbal Physiotherapy Unblocks"!

If men were angels, no government would be necessary.
~ James Madison

The biggest danger to our rights today is not from government acting against the will of the majority
but from government which has become the mere instrument of this majority...
Wrong will be done as much by an all-powerful people as by an all-powerful prince.
~ James Madison

Class conflict is another concept which upsets the oppressors, since they do not wish to consider themselves an oppressive class. Unable to deny, try as they may, the existence of social classes, they preach the need for understanding and harmony between those who buy and those who are obliged to sell their labor. However, the unconcealable antagonism which exists between the two classes makes this "harmony" impossible. ~ Paulo Freire

Because it is a distortion of being more fully human, sooner or later being less human leads the oppressed to struggle against those who made them so. In order for this struggle to have meaning, the oppressed must not, in seeking to regain their humanity (which is a way to create it), become in turn oppressors of the oppressors, but rather restorers of the humanity of both. ~ Paulo Freire

To impede communication is to reduce men to the status of "things"—and this is a job for oppressors, not for revolutionaries. ~ Paulo Freire
